All about Cricket

I like to play cricket so much. But when I was a small child, I didn't know how to play. When me and my dad were watching cricket matches in the TV, I asked many questions. And when I watched and watched, I learnt some things about cricket. First, my dad brought me a baseball bat and a ball and then I started playing in the drawing room. After that, my dad took me to a parking lot in the evening. And when I started playing, I lost 3 to 4 games. But after that I batted really well. I got fifties, hundreds. But only 1 world record. But still I didn't learn how to ball that time. But slowly, slowly I learned how to ball. One day I had a match with my dad. This time was my batting. I made a world record. My score was 150. Suddenly I got out!! Now it was very impossible that my dad couldn’t score so many runs!!!!! He just scored 7 runs and got out! I finally won!!!!!

We were going to play cricket again. This was a very close match. I was batting now, and I scored 143 runs. My dad was also playing well and was very close to 143 runs. Now I showed my tantrums because I wanted to win. But my dad said don’t worry, you will win. But I still showed my tantrums. So, he was right I got 143 runs and my dad got 142. Isn't it cool? After that I lost many matches and I felt really bad about it. But my dad gave me an advice that I have to accept my failures. I learnt that I cannot use tantrums to win matches. I have to be balanced and learn by improving my mistakes.

We love watching cricket in TV and this time we watched IPL together. My favourite teams are royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad. My favourite players are Kohli, Warner, Bumrah, Chahal and KL Rahul. They are my favourite teams because they play very well. SRH Jerseys are orange. RCB Jerseys are red. KXIP Jerseys are light red. And MI Jerseys are blue. One day, me and my dad was watching an IPL cricket match. It was between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians. Royal Challengers Bangalore elected to bat first. Kohli is the captain of royal challengers Bangalore and Rohit is the captain of Mumbai Indians. 3 Royal Challengers Bangalore players scored a half century. But Kohli didn't score so much; he was out at 3 runs. The Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 201 runs. Then Mumbai Indians came to bat. Ishan Kishan hit the ball so hard that he made a half century!! Ishan Kishan scored more runs and he almost got 100 runs!!!! But when he was at 99, he hit the ball, and someone caught it at the boundary. Then Pollard came to bat and he tried to make Mumbai Indians win. But he couldn't and the match tied. So, they started a super over. Pollard was still batting but, Mumbai Indians just got 8 runs. Then Kohli came to bat for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Kohli hit a boundary and the Royal Challengers won the match!!! We were so excited that we screamed for the joy.

Super over between MI Vs RCB

We were watching another IPL match. This time it was Mumbai Indians Vs Kings XI Punjab. Rohit is the captain of Mumbai Indians, and KL Rahul is the captain of Kings XI Punjab. Mumbai Indians elected to bat first, and it was a very crazy match. Quinton de Kock scored a half century. Mumbai Indians scored 176 runs. Now, Punjab came to bat. KL Rahul scored 77 runs. The rest of the batters will need 100 more runs to win, but they only scored 99 runs. So, the match got tied and they started a super over. In the first super over, Punjab batted first and scored only five runs. Then again Mumbai came to bat. So, Mumbai needed 6 runs to win, but, Mumbai also scored 5 runs in the super over. So, the match got tied again. In the next super over, Mumbai came to bat and scored eleven runs. But this time, Punjab scored fifteen runs in the second super over and won the match. The people in the cricket stadium were very surprised that how Mumbai Indians tied Kings XI Punjab two times. Dad thinks that it’s the first time there were two super overs in a match happened in the history of IPL. It was a very exciting match. This was one of our favorite and the craziest matches that me and dad ever seen.

I still play cricket in the parking lot in evenings and sometimes mom and Shweta join us, too. It’s really fun playing together. This Diwali mom gifted me a real cricket bat and I am learning real cricket shots by watching YouTube videos.

Diwali - the festival of lights

 Written by Arohan Banik Diwali is an Indian festival. It is all about festival of lights. It needs lots of preparation. In Diwali, we do rangoli, we make a lot of foods, we light up dias (lamps), we decorate our house with LED lights, we make dias with paper and we blast fire crackers. During Diwali, in Kolkata, people celebrate Kali Pujo. People go to pandal to meet God Ma Kali. People also go to many pandals to pray other Gods. They eat food from restaurants. Children play and have fun. There are lots of LED lights around the streets. I miss Kolkata so much during Diwali. In this festival, we wear Kurta Pajama. The Kurta Pajama is a type of traditional dress we wear in every Indian festival. The traditional dresses make you more spectacular for puja celebration. These also make people understand that we are Indians. This time, Pranay and Shweta joined us for the celebration. They gifted me a yellow car, and I got surprised. My Lego World

I don't even have to look picture to picture. I just use my imagination and lots of things come into my mind. I used to build a lot of things in my home. I can build a boat, car, ship, bakery shop and much more! These are few of my favourite things to build in the world. One thing that I love to build is a warplane. They have missile's and they are cool. I can build any warplane!! I have a warplane that has double turbine. It's large and special. One day I watched a movie about Legos – The LEGO Movie 2.
