The rainbow: A painting dedicated to my friends

  This is the painting that I dedicate to my friends

During this lockdown I used to do a lot of drawings and paintings. When I shared to my teacher Miss Upham that I am doing lots of work, and working hard by painting also, then sometime later, my teacher messaged back that can you paint something for my classroom so I can hang it on my wall? Then she said, so can you paint it by yourself? I was thinking and thinking and thinking in my mind what to paint.

Yesterday when we were going to a shop named Kroger, we were outside of Kroger, then I saw a real rainbow outside with all the colours!! Then I imagine that all of my friends are in the sky talking to me. We shopped all our things, then I saw the rainbow flew away and lightning started. I thought to dedicate this rainbow to my friends. I wanted to paint this rainbow. It took one day to paint it.

Rainbows are really faraway from us. You think that they are very close to us but it's not close to us. A rainbow has seven colours in a row. They are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and purple. I wrote all my best friend names in the rainbow. Look at my picture then you will realize that the rainbow is made of glitters. I made it by myself and my dad helped me. When this pandemic will end, soon our school will open, and I will gift it to my teacher Miss Upham and say that this is your gift from Arohan for KG-2019-2020 classroom. The teacher will keep my drawing in my classroom forever. All the names in my rainbow are Jonathan, Rodriguez, Baldemar, Kingston, Ayra, Uriel and Mackenzie They are all in the colours of rainbow.

I loved playing with my friends so much when my school was open. I used to play with them in the playground but since the school is closed because of this pandemic, I cannot meet them. So I feel they are also just like the rainbow although they are faraway but still they are close to me on the sky. So I can look at them, I can talk to them and I wish when this school will reopen again and I will once again meet all of them and have fun together.

Diwali - the festival of lights

 Written by Arohan Banik Diwali is an Indian festival. It is all about festival of lights. It needs lots of preparation. In Diwali, we do rangoli, we make a lot of foods, we light up dias (lamps), we decorate our house with LED lights, we make dias with paper and we blast fire crackers. During Diwali, in Kolkata, people celebrate Kali Pujo. People go to pandal to meet God Ma Kali. People also go to many pandals to pray other Gods. They eat food from restaurants. Children play and have fun. There are lots of LED lights around the streets. I miss Kolkata so much during Diwali. In this festival, we wear Kurta Pajama. The Kurta Pajama is a type of traditional dress we wear in every Indian festival. The traditional dresses make you more spectacular for puja celebration. These also make people understand that we are Indians. This time, Pranay and Shweta joined us for the celebration. They gifted me a yellow car, and I got surprised. My Lego World

Written by Arohan Banik I like my Legos so much and it can make me more creative. I already became creative and I can build many things using Lego blocks. I don't even have to look picture to picture. I just use my imagination and lots of things come into my mind. I used to build a lot of things in my home. I can build a boat, car, ship, bakery shop and much more! These are few of my favourite things to build in the world. One thing that I love to build is a warplane. They have missile's and they are cool. I can build any warplane!! I have a warplane that has double turbine. It's large and special. One day I watched a movie about Legos – The LEGO Movie 2.
